I really liked the clarity of defining the ONE Thing that will drive your life forward in a truly transformational way。 This book isn’t one you can just read and you’re done。 I found the most use from this book when I wrote chapter summaries after each chapter, and prompts for me to respond after marinating。 After I finished the book, I went through my summaries and summarized this book on ONE page。 With that much effort I put into this book, I feel much more clear and confident I am heading in I really liked the clarity of defining the ONE Thing that will drive your life forward in a truly transformational way。 This book isn’t one you can just read and you’re done。 I found the most use from this book when I wrote chapter summaries after each chapter, and prompts for me to respond after marinating。 After I finished the book, I went through my summaries and summarized this book on ONE page。 With that much effort I put into this book, I feel much more clear and confident I am heading in an impactful direction。 I wouldn’t recommend this book if you plan on passively reading it。 It has some good key tidbits but there are plenty of better written books that go into similar things (7 habits of highly effective people may be a better use of your time)。 。。。more

Dayan Alejandro,
Most of us were taught to think that we need to focus on mastery many things of our lifes at once, and we found ourselves burned-out getting not the results we want。。。Try to say NO, found the environment you need to support your goals。
Rohit,
Simple techniques to inculcate good habits necessary to meet one's life expectation。 The book dissects what is required to be successful and tries to convince that to lead your best life, you don't need to do too many things, just a few things done well is enough。 I think this is a must read for anyone who has a negative mindset towards achieving their goals or struggles to form good habits。 This book might help you overcomes those challenges。 Simple techniques to inculcate good habits necessary to meet one's life expectation。 The book dissects what is required to be successful and tries to convince that to lead your best life, you don't need to do too many things, just a few things done well is enough。 I think this is a must read for anyone who has a negative mindset towards achieving their goals or struggles to form good habits。 This book might help you overcomes those challenges。 。。。more

Interesting book!Changed my way of thinking about task planning。The information inside the book feels like you know it already。But once you decide to implement the changes, you feel more balanced。Very helpful, changed my habits and way of thinking。 I start to feel much better。
Christina,
“Success is an inside job。 Put yourself together, and your world falls into place。”。I enjoyed this book because it really made me challenge my own thinking about success。 I am a master of multitasking, a to do list champ, and always thought the key was to “go big or go home”。 But Keller provides convincing counter arguments to this point of view and teaches us to really narrow our focus to ONE thing。
Blvck,
meaningful, helpful, but too redundant。 it’s worth the time but most chapters could be cut down by half or two thirds and the book would be still as impactful。
Alison,
This could have been summed up in a single article (or even paragraph。。), but I actually appreciated the repetition - it’s definitely drilled into my brain now。 Wish I’d stumbled across this years ago。
Alex,
At the beginning I had a hard time with this book。 In every second sentence the One Thing is mentioned, so that I had almost put it aside annoyed。Nevertheless it caught me after a bit of reading and I was able to read through it quickly。 Maybe it was because these kinds of motivational books get me excited quickly。 Perhaps it was also due to the beautiful and very structured layout, which leads you easily and quickly through the book。 There is nothing new in this book, as long as you have alread At the beginning I had a hard time with this book。 In every second sentence the One Thing is mentioned, so that I had almost put it aside annoyed。Nevertheless it caught me after a bit of reading and I was able to read through it quickly。 Maybe it was because these kinds of motivational books get me excited quickly。 Perhaps it was also due to the beautiful and very structured layout, which leads you easily and quickly through the book。 There is nothing new in this book, as long as you have already read other books on the topics of self-optimization, self-reflection and personality development。 But you can find everything about these topics again here in this book。 It does not really go into depth but is a good all-rounder, especially for anyone who is new to these topics。So I can recommend this book to anyone who wants a refresher, or is just starting to look at these issues。 。。。more

Completed the book 'The one thing' written by real estate mogul Gary Keller with Jay Papasan。 Of all the books that I've read this year, this one made an immense influence on my working style and thought process。 It is a very slim volume which can be completed in a couple of sittings。 But the strategies and lessons taught in this book would help in achieving unimaginable results。 A must-read for delivering extraordinary results in all walks of life - work, personal, and family。 Completed the book 'The one thing' written by real estate mogul Gary Keller with Jay Papasan。 Of all the books that I've read this year, this one made an immense influence on my working style and thought process。 It is a very slim volume which can be completed in a couple of sittings。 But the strategies and lessons taught in this book would help in achieving unimaginable results。 A must-read for delivering extraordinary results in all walks of life - work, personal, and family。 。。。more

This book is insane。 It is masterpiece and such such a fruitful book。 It includes various unique study habits and also corrects the real life day to day habits and teaches us how to modify them。 The author has done a great work so far。。。 Highly recommended!!

Meh。Repetitive。 I think I could have gotten the full point in a short essay。
Silvia Ballarini,

‘The One Thing’ by Gary Keller advises us to focus on “one thing” in order to be productive and successful。 This sounds simple, and at one level it is, but if it were that easy then we’d all be doing it。 How do you figure out what your one thing is? I appreciated the simplicity of focusing on the "one" thing to become successful。 As an overthinker and anxious prone person, I appreciated this simple tactic and did give me a little clarity and not only my career hurdles but also personal roadblocks as well。 I appreciated the simplicity of focusing on the "one" thing to become successful。 As an overthinker and anxious prone person, I appreciated this simple tactic and did give me a little clarity and not only my career hurdles but also personal roadblocks as well。 。。。more
